We also had the US Government start a land craze in the Beryl area when they announced they might build a military base that would handle nukes on trains. The most recent scam was a guy that said he was going to build an international airport and Disney Land like theme park in the area. Beryl is a short 45 minuite drive from St. George and 30 minute drive from Cedar City. The land is great if you want a place to get away from people and be in nature. Beryl is also nice because you can get a big piece of land for a pretty low price for a cabin or hunting area. Being that Beryl is only 1 1/2 hours from Las Vegas it is very easy to do short day trips to your land or home in the Beryl Area.
